Rubin "Hurricane" Carter Benefit, January, 1976

The photo captures Dylan mid-performance at the benefit, and the black-and-white contrast makes his intensity jump right off the print. I’ve got it framed in my study and guests always stop to ask about it. It’s a piece of music history that feels alive.

The lighting in this photo really captures the intensity of that 1976 performance. It’s a powerful shot that brings the energy of the benefit concert right into the room. I’ve already found a spot for it on my wall.
