河津櫻（Kawadu-zakura）是1950年代左右在靜岡縣河津市發現的早開櫻花品種。以其特別早開的花季聞名，每年約2月10日左右吸引眾多遊客齊聚河津櫻祭，迎接初春的第一道風景。這場祭典為期一個月，吸引大批人潮前往河津町，尋找早春之美。
這反映了人類自古以來對時間的迷戀，從發現保存百萬年生命的遠古琥珀便可見一斑。我們渴望凍結時光，或許源於對自身存在的深層好奇，或是想捕捉稍縱即逝的美麗。
由京都「Usage No Nedoko」精心打造的Sola Cubes，正是這份哲學的體現。這些方塊融合了日本傳統對自然的敬畏與對常被忽略元素的欣賞。每一顆方塊都將保存的葉片、種子或花朵封存於手工拋光的透明壓克力樹脂中，提供一扇冥想般的窗，窺見自然之美——類似於倉俣史朗的「Miss Blanche」作品，但採用真實的有機材料。
This cherry blossom cube sits on my desk and the petals look so perfectly preserved, almost like they're floating. The way the light catches the tiny pink flowers inside is really calming. It's become a nice little conversation starter when people notice it.
I picked this up as a small birthday gift and ended up keeping it for my desk instead. The tiny early-blooming cherry blossom inside the clear cube catches light beautifully, and it's surprisingly heavy for its size.
The blossom is suspended in the clear cube like it was just picked, and the pink holds up even in a dim room. Bought it as a desk gift and now I want one for myself.
