Knitted this up on my circular machine over a weekend and the gingham squares actually line up without any fiddling. The classic checkered look reads clean and modern rather than fussy, and it's already draped over the couch.

The gingham squares come out so crisp on my circular machine, way cleaner than the wavy mess I got from a flat pattern. It's soft enough that my kid claimed it for the couch immediately. Already planning a second one in navy.
