The Tornado rollerball writes buttery smooth, and the Smithsonian artwork on the barrel is even more striking in person—the colors pop nicely. It's a bit heavier than I expected, which gives it a solid, premium feel in hand. Perfect for my desk as both a daily writer and a little piece of art.
I bought this mainly for the artwork and the rollerball writes smoother than I expected, no skipping even on cheap notebook paper. The weight feels solid without being tiring during long note-taking sessions.
The Shin-Bijutsukai floral pattern on the barrel is even prettier in person, and the rollerball ink dries fast enough that I don't smudge my notes. It's a bit heavier than my usual plastic pens, but that actually makes my handwriting look steadier.
