Talking Heads, David Byrne, 1982

I’d seen this image a dozen times online, but seeing it framed on my wall, the grain and shadow in Goldsmith’s portrait feel much more alive in person. It’s a perfect 1982 time capsule, and the museum-grade finish makes the black-and-white pop without any glare.

The print quality really does justice to Goldsmith’s capture of Byrne mid-energy; the black-and-white grain feels authentic to the era. It arrived well-packaged and looks sharp in a simple frame, though I wish the listing had included the exact dimensions before I ordered.
