長城的存在讓我大開眼界。蜿蜒超過五千英里，我最大的兩個挑戰是找到正確的地點和正確的光線。在不會說任何中文的情況下，我盡力與當地人溝通，並探索拍攝長城的最佳地點。我得到了許多不同的答案，這些答案引領我到了許多不同的地方。我不知道光線會如何變化，也不知道該在哪裡拍攝。當我接近長城時，一個全新的世界展開了。我驚嘆於眼前展開的如此奇蹟般的人造景觀。我希望同時身處十個地方！在一天的最後一個小時，我必須做出選擇——向東或向西徒步長城。我選擇了向西，而這得到了回報。壯麗的雲彩聚集在地平線上，上帝的光芒照亮了山巒。感覺就像身處天堂。我像瘋子一樣拍攝，直到完全黑暗。那種感覺難以置信——我希望當你看著這張影像時，能與我分享這份感受。
Getting up before dawn to catch the light at the wall was absolutely worth the lost sleep. I couldn't read a single sign, so finding the right spot took some wandering, but the view once I got there was unreal. Those 5,000 miles of stone stretching into the hills genuinely don't look real in person.
Hiked the Mutianyu section at sunrise and had whole stretches of the wall to myself — the light was unreal. It really does meander for over 5,000 miles, and picking the right spot and time is half the battle. Worth every hour of lost sleep.
