The Police, Monserrat, 1981

I’ve always admired The Police, and this print captures their raw energy so perfectly – you can almost feel the Monserrat heat in the lighting and Lynn Goldsmith’s candid framing. The paper has a subtle, archival matte finish that makes the black-and-white tones look incredibly deep.

The framing is museum-quality, and the shot of Sting mid-performance captures that raw 1981 energy perfectly. Only wish the print was a touch larger for my living room wall, but the matte finish is gorgeous.

The grain in the black-and-white print really captures the energy of that 1981 Monserrat show. I just wish the photo came with a bit more info about the specific moment on the back, but it’s a great addition to my collection.
