幻象奇觀

The way it weaves together magicians, filmmakers, and even designers into one continuous thread about deception is brilliant—I kept flipping pages to see who’d show up next. The chapters on inventors alone are worth the price, and I’ve already reread the section on stagecraft twice.

Even the chapters on filmmakers and stage designers had me rethinking how I watch movies, and the way it ties historical trickery to modern illusions feels surprisingly fresh. I’ve already reread the section on magicians twice, it’s that good.

I wasn't sure a book about deception could be this gripping, but the way it ties together artists and magicians through history kept me turning pages past midnight. The section on how designers build impossible spaces really made me see architecture in a whole new light.
