The Warlocks, San Francisco, CA 1965

The grain in this vintage shot of the boys is just right—raw and gritty without losing any detail in the faces. It's hanging above my desk and I catch myself staring at Pigpen's stance every time I walk by. Feels like a real piece of history.

The contrast on this print really makes the early Dead lineup pop — you can almost feel the fog rolling in from the bay. Framed it in my music room and it's already a conversation starter.
