One coat and it's genuinely black, not that weird charcoal-gray most "black" polishes turn into. The matte finish stays put for a full week on my nails without chipping, which is rare for me.

The matte finish is what sold me—it looks like velvet on the nail instead of that cheap glossy shine. I've worn it for three days with only a tiny chip at the tip, which is solid for a single coat of black.

The matte finish dries down in about ten minutes and doesn't budge through a whole day of typing and dishwashing. One coat was almost opaque, so the bottle is going to last me ages.
