The enamel coating is smooth as glass and the pan feels incredibly sturdy, so it’s a solid upgrade over my old bare cast iron. I used it for a quick sear on steaks and the ridged griddle left perfect char marks without any sticking.

The ridges are deep enough that I got proper grill marks on chicken without any flare-ups, and the enamel coating handled a quick scrub without a single scratch. It's heavy, sure, but that's exactly what you want for searing a good steak.

The enamel coating wiped clean with just a sponge after I burned some sugar on it, which surprised me for cast iron. This is the first pan I've owned that feels sturdy enough for the grill and still looks good sitting on my stove.
