Window Washer Ballet, New York, 1959

I framed it in my living room and the light catches that arc of the window washer’s movement perfectly, giving the whole photo a sense of frozen motion. The street-level perspective makes you feel like you’re right there in 1959.

The contrast in this print is incredible, making the window washer really pop against that old New York skyline. It’s such a candid, beautiful moment from 1959 that feels both timeless and completely real. Already framed it and it looks perfect in my living room.
