Get an early look at the Buck Wethers 8" Dunny by Amanda Visell. This FAQ covers the design, materials, and what makes this ornery goat figure a standout art toy.
Quick answer
The Buck Wethers 8" Dunny is a limited-edition art figure by Amanda Visell, featuring a mischievous goat design with a playful, ornery personality. It's a must-see for fans of her Barnyard Beast series and vinyl art toy collectors.
What makes Buck Wethers different from other Dunnys?
Unlike standard Dunnys that often feature a blank canvas for artists, Buck Wethers is a fully sculpted character with detailed goat features, including horns, a beard, and a mischievous expression. The 8-inch size gives it a commanding presence on any shelf.
The figure is part of Amanda Visell's Barnyard Beast line, which means it carries her signature whimsical and slightly dark humor. The description notes Buck "will wether the weather" and "steal your pants," adding a narrative layer that many art toys lack.
How does the build quality compare?
The Buck Wethers Dunny is made from the same high-quality vinyl as other Kidrobot Dunnys, ensuring durability and a nice weight. The paint application is precise, with multiple colors and small details like the goat's eyes and fur texture.
One trade-off: because it's a sculpted figure rather than a blank canvas, the joints are less articulated. The arms and head are fixed in place, so it's more of a display piece than a posable toy.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Buck Wethers a limited edition?
- Yes, like most Amanda Visell Dunnys, Buck Wethers is produced in a limited run. The exact edition size is not listed, but it's wise to purchase early if you're interested.
- What are the dimensions?
- The figure stands 8 inches tall. It comes in a standard Dunny box with window display, suitable for both in-box and out-of-box display.
- Can I pose the figure?
- No. The arms and head are fixed. Buck Wethers is a static display figure, not a posable action figure. This is typical for sculpted Dunny releases. If you prefer posable figures, look for standard blank-canvas Dunnys instead.
- How do I clean and maintain it?
- Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to dust the figure. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water—avoid alcohol or solvents as they can damage the paint. Keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
