The terry lining is thick enough that I can grab a hot skillet handle without flinching, and the heavy cotton batting really blocks the heat. Used it all week for stovetop cooking and it’s held up perfectly, no scorch marks yet.
The steam barrier is the detail that sold me—no more scalding surprises when I grab a lid mid-boil. The terry lining feels thick and cushioned, and it’s held up through daily use without a single scorch mark.
