Notes tomato leaf, tomato, tangerine, patchouli, dirt, grass

Description In a refreshing twist on this trend, the Austin-based movie-inspired fragrance house Xyrena has taken the burgeoning popularity of tomato scents and formulated the first of the 'killer' variety. Developed exclusively in collaboration with the creators of the cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! franchise, this enchanting, garden-fresh fragrance opens with a citrusy top note of sweet tangerine, transitioning seamlessly into vegetal mid notes of green stems, (killer) tomato leaf, and freshly cut grass. The filmic fragrance comes to a dramatic climax with an earthy base of wild fern, wet soil, genuine Indonesian patchouli, and South African Buchu.

Choose from two different collectible cover art editions: the original 1978 theatrical movie poster or 1995 Director's Cut VHS

Due to brand & licensing restrictions, and the collectible nature of the Cinematic Scent Archive™, samples of this fragrance are not offered online. However, free* gift with purchase samples can be requested at checkout when purchasing full bottles.

I was braced for a gimmick, but the tomato leaf and dirt notes are surprisingly balanced with the tangerine, making it wearable and weird in the best way. The patchouli keeps it grounded, and it lasts several hours without turning sour on my skin.

Smells like stepping into a garden right after a summer rain, with that tomato leaf and dirt combo grounding the brighter tangerine. The patchouli keeps it from going too literal, and it wears surprisingly close to the skin for a few hours before fading. This is my new warm-weather go-to.

The tangerine cuts through the earthy patchouli and tomato leaf beautifully, making it feel like a sunny garden after a storm rather than a gimmick. I’ve gotten three compliments in one day wearing it, and the dirt note is subtle enough to be intriguing instead of weird.
