This photo was taken during Dylan’s press conference for the launch of his 1984 Dylan/Santana European tour. Bill Graham had hired me as official tour photographer and, at the end of the tour, Dylan recorded a live album in Dublin. He used my photos for the cover of his Real Live album.

The clarity on this print is incredible—you can see every detail in his expression and the texture of his jacket. It captures a real moment from that 1984 tour press conference, not just a posed shot. This is exactly the kind of authentic music photography I was hoping to find.
