Category: Friedhats Coffee Roasters

This coffee is part of a project run by Nordic Approach called “bomba de fruta” and produced by José Manuel Jimenez, owner of the dry mill Seco de Manrepo. It’s a blend of natural processed cherries from many small producers in the department of Caldas grown at around 1800 masl and mostly castillo variety. This particular coffee didn’t turn out to be the crazy tropical fruit punch we thought it would be. It is however, a very nice coffee. It’s thick and tastes like plums and sweet spices.

Stella ★★★★★

The dry mill’s blending of those natural cherries gives every cup this dense, jammy sweetness that sticks around long after the last sip. I’ve brewed it both as pour-over and in my French press, and it handled both beautifully without losing its character. Definitely ordering more before this batch

William ★★★★★

The natural process really shines through here — sweet, fruit-forward cup that’s hard to put down. Just wish I’d grabbed more bags before it sold out.

The nose on this one is wild — ripe, sweet, almost boozy before you even brew. From a dry mill in Colombia that focuses on natural fruit bombs, this is exactly that, a juicy cup that keeps you going back for another sip.
