PAUL SALTZMAN REMEMBERS:Donovan was soft-spoken and friendly, with a shy, almost internal smile. He and the Beatles were long time friends and he wrote Sunshine Superman in admiration of them. While he was at the ashram he wrote Hurdy Gurdy Man and Jennifer Juniper, for Pattie Boyd's sister, Jennie.

The print captures Donovan's soft-spoken demeanor perfectly, and the story about Sunshine Superman adds real context to the image. Would've liked a bit more detail in the description about the print size, but the photo itself is stunning.
