Elton John on-board the Starship

$1470 ~~$2450~~ In stock

“It was just easier for rock-stars, especially at the level of Elton John, to charter private planes to get the band from one city to the next. In the 1970s, there was one specific plane that was customized to handle musicians. The Starship, as it was called, was used not only by Elton John – but also Led Zeppelin. If planes could talk!” -Terry O’Neill

The print captures the cramped, lived-in feel of that private 1970s plane beautifully—you can almost hear the engines hum just from looking at the grain. Hung it in my office and the muted tones work surprisingly well against a white wall.

Got this for my dad who's a big Elton fan—the story about that 1970s private plane is exactly the kind of detail he loves. Print quality is solid, though the frame option could have been a bit sturdier for the price.
