This image came about in tandem to an article on musicians and business and since Mick had gone to the London School of Economics, he seemed a good choice! I spent an afternoon in the Stones office taking pictures of Mick as a businessman doing business stuff. It seemed a bit embarrassing for both of us and it shows in his ‘pout’. — Barrie Wentzell30x40 size is archival digital only.

Aurora ★★★★★

The way Mick is caught mid-thought, almost distracted by the business end of the shoot, gives it a candid, unposed feel that’s rare for rock star portraits. The print’s detail really brings out the wood panelling and the slight scuff on his boot.

The sepia tones really capture the moody late-60s London vibe I was hoping for. I love how Mick is caught mid-thought at his desk, not performing—it feels like a real, unguarded moment. The print's texture adds something you just can't get on a screen.
