STAFF PICK:

The Clash is one of my all time favorite bands and this photo by Bob Gruen has all the elements of cool going on in it. I love the graininess and that it’s slightly out of focus from the moving car to the New York skyline in the background. You can also see them driving around in this sweet Cadillac in the “Should I Stay or Should I Go” video. This black and white the Clash print is signed by the photographer, Bob Gruen.

Chloe ★★★★★

The grain and shadow work in this shot of the four of them crammed in that car really capture the vibe of the era—it feels like a stolen moment, not a posed photo. Print quality is sharp, and the frame-ready size fits my wall perfectly. A must for any Clash fan.

Lily ★★★★☆

I wish the car windows showed a bit more of the gritty NYC street scene, but the clarity of Joe Strummer’s expression more than makes up for it. Captures the band’s raw energy perfectly.

Harper W. ★★★★☆

Got this framed for my music room and the detail in the faces is incredible—you can really see the exhaustion and attitude on Joe Strummer. The 1982 NYC setting makes it feel like a time capsule. Only wish it came in a larger size, but the print quality is spot on.
