The way the classic car and countryside backdrop frame Tom Waits in this photo is exactly what I was hoping for. It feels like you're right there in Cotati with him on that February day.

I’ve been staring at the way the light hits the classic car in this photo for days—it’s like you can feel the California afternoon. Tom Waits’ expression feels so unguarded, really captures that candid moment. A perfect piece for any fan of his work.

The countryside backdrop and that old car give it such a lived-in feel, like you caught him mid-thought rather than posing. The blue sky pops just right against the candid expression, and it's become the centerpiece of my living room wall.
