Aventon Aventure 3

Snow, sand and loose gravel are the ground the Aventure 3 is set up for, with 26 x 4.0 in Inova fat tires, an 80 mm fork and a suspension seatpost on a step-over 6061 aluminum frame. A 750 W rear hub, a throttle and a 733 Wh battery do the pulling.

Highlights

• 750 W rear hub: 80 Nm of torque, and Boost Mode raises output to 1440 W for up to 30 seconds at a time, by the brand's figure; a left-hand throttle is fitted.
• 733 Wh keyless battery: 36V 20Ah with LG 21700 cells, certified to UL 2271; Aventon estimates up to 105 km in Eco mode, and a full charge takes 5 h.
• Torque or cadence: a double-sided torque sensor at the bottom bracket, with Sensor Switch for a cadence-style feel.
• Brakes and gears: Tektro HD-E3520 hydraulic discs on 180 mm rotors front and rear, and Shimano Altus 8-speed shifting.
• Speed: assist is set to 32 km/h at delivery and adjusts to 45 km/h, by the brand's figure.
• Load and kit: 181 kg maximum load on a 34.5 kg bike, with a rear rack, fenders and a rear kickstand included.
