Velotric Nomad 2

Pick a step-thru or high-step frame, and the Velotric Nomad 2 puts 26 x 4.0 in fat tires, a 100 mm hydraulic fork and a suspension seatpost under you. It is a fat-tire e-bike for routes that mix pavement, gravel and rougher ground.

Highlights

• Hub motor: mounted at the rear, rated 750 W with a 1300 W peak and 90 Nm of torque, plus a throttle and switchable torque or cadence sensing.
• 705.6 Wh removable battery: 48V 14.7Ah with Samsung/LG 21700 cells, rated by the brand for up to 105 km on pedal assist or 72 km on throttle.
• Front and seat suspension: an RST hydraulic fork with 100 mm of travel and lockout, plus a suspension seatpost.
• Brakes and gears: Tektro hydraulic discs with a 203 mm front and 180 mm rear rotor, and a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain with an 11-40T cassette.
• Speed: assist is set to 32 km/h out of the box, with a 45 km/h setting where permitted, by the brand's figure.
• Load: 229 kg maximum total load and a rear rack rated for about 30 kg; the bike weighs 34 kg.
